Another random film AU I wanted to doodle... because I can. ~ Used a reference for the pose here this time, to make it look better.

Rewatched the Tadeo Jones movies (thank you German television for introducing me to this franchise, as always) in light of the new film coming out in a few days (in English). Rewatching the 2nd film got me thinking of an AU, which I'll be calling The Golden Hand!Tadeo AU.

In this AU, the second film plays out the same except for the end. When Jack hits Sara in the hand, and then his whole death thing, her hand turning to gold is a slower process, and it moves from her hand to the rest of her body since Jack hit her with his staff not his hands [so it's a less direct hit].

Instead of the whole, drama scene where Tad tries to save her, she just offers to sacrifice herself, for him, Tiffany and Mummy to go away safely. Tad is reluctant to go of course, but as stones start to fall and Sara is seemingly 'hit' he leaves in tears.

Flash forward 10 years, Tadeo [who I assume was early 30s in the film now early 40s] works for the museum/archaeology center Sara used to work for, as he - with the help of Mummy and Tiffany - felt bad about Sara so they decided to honor her by solving other mysteries together that she aimed to solve someday.

Back in the temple, something moves. We discover Sara is still alive! When the rocks started to fall, one fell on her hand which causes her body to stop turning into gold. She still feels different however, her hand is well golden and she has golden vain patterns going up till her right eye [which is also gold in colour]. She also still aged those 10 years, but wasn't aware of it.

She finds a part of King Midas necklace, and uses it as it somehow gives her some energy. She also has some minor powers, [which she cannot explain so neither will I] where she can turn things into gold with her right hand, depending on how she feels [more strong the emotion more strong the power - it does tire her out though]

Basically then the story follows Sara trying to get back to her friends and family. And news is fast so then when Tad discovers she might still be alive he sets out to find her as well.

And police is police, so they set out to find her as well cause it's 'mysterious so it must = dangerous"
